There is a growing crisis in America that is driving up health-care costs to the point where services may someday soon be inaccessible to the majority of Americans. That crisis is the increasing difficulty for doctors to secure medical malpractice insurance, forcing many to scale back their services or give up their practices altogether. Fortunately, doctors in many states have taken the matter in there own hands and created their own professional liability companies to provide protection for themselves. The Physician Insurers Association of America is a trade group representing these doctor-run insurance companies, lobbying our legislators and working to create long-range solutions to this burgeoning crisis.
